Hey Dan, that’s really great! I had the same thing happen to me our first year here. I lost my phone, and then called it. A lady answered — but I didn’t speak Chinese at that point. I called again later, and then handed it to a friend of mine. She said the lady was just holding on to the phone for me, told me where to meet her, and she would return my phone to me. It turns out, it was the “grandma” at our apartment complex that watches everyones bikes. I had been told by everyone that I’d never see my phone again . . . but, I did. This kind, elderly woman smiled when I approached and handed me my phone. (Apparently, I had dropped my phone when getting on my bike).
